The ICAN Society’s 2025 Summer Carnival was held on July 13 at Victoria Park in the Love City Valley, with a variety of performances, including lion dance, lucky draw, dance, choral singing, solo singing, instrumental music and more.
This year’s carnival was particularly special, full of surprises and touches. The weather forecast has predicted rain for several days in a row, and it is still raining at 7 o’clock this morning. But when we started our activities at 10:30 a.m., the sun suddenly filled the earth and the sky swept away the haze, as if God was giving in to our enthusiasm. Even worse, the event ended in the afternoon and everyone got home, when it started raining outside again – just like the whole event had been orchestrated by the “weather gods”, perfectly avoiding bad weather!
The cool breeze after the rain blows away the summer heat and adds a sense of comfort and comfort to our activities. Everyone gathered together in such a beautiful weather, enjoyed the performances, participated in the interaction, and enjoyed the food, leaving a lot of laughter and memories.
We would like to thank our title sponsor, TD Bank, for their support, as well as all the other sponsors who have given us their trust and support, and it is thanks to your generosity that we are making this wonderful carnival possible.
We are also very honored to have the presence of provincial and municipal councillors, who not only add luster to the event, but also reflect the government’s concern and support for the development of diverse communities.
At the same time, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all ICAN volunteers for their hard work, it is your selfless dedication that made the whole event orderly, warm and loving; At the same time, I would like to thank the sister societies and performance groups for their wonderful performances and strong support, and you have interpreted the true meaning of “community power” with enthusiasm and action!
It is precisely because of everyone present that this summer is so unforgettable. Let’s continue to pass on this laughter and warmth, and look forward to seeing you again next year!
